I noticed that everytime you view your topic it counts as a view no matter when you view it. My suggestion is that you could make a cool down for each individual user that views a thread to avoid spamming views in your own topic.

Okay, just a thought. I brought this up because I was in another forum before that didn't have view spam filter and it caused a lot of problems for people.
